Early in the morning, departs north to Bahir Dar via Debre Markos.

On the way visit the Portuguese bridge, said to have been the first bridge in Ethiopia.  Afterwards, pass by the spectacular Blue Nile Gorge with up to some 2000mts deep and nearly 400km in length.  O/n Hotel.

In the morning, take a boat trip on Lake Tana to visit the island monasteries, such as those on theZege Peninsula and Kibran Gabriel (not allowed for women), and the outlet of the Blue Nile River.  In the afternoon, drive out to the Blue Nile Falls for a short hike in the area.  Finish the day with the sunset over the lake. O/n Hotel

After breakfast, drive north to Gondar.  The four-hours drive will take you through the rural villages of Amhara people offering a wonderful insight into their culture and way of life.  After checking to your hotel. Explore the sites of Gondar and visit the Royal Enclosure, with six castles and several other ruins of building, the bathe of king Fasilidas’s, still used for Timket celebrations, and the church of Debre Birhan Selassie, with the most famous mural ceiling in Ethiopia.  O/n Hotel

Early morning, depart north for Axum, enjoying spectacular views of the Simien Mountains.  After lunch in Adi Arkay, proceed to the dramatic Tekeze river Valley, offering some of the best scenery in the country. Late in the afternoon approach to Aksum and check in to your hotel. O/n Hotel

Today will be a full day visiting the sites of Axum, including the famous obelisks (one that was recently erected after being returned from Italy), the Queen of Sheba’s Bath (which supplies water to Axum year-round), King Bazen’s tomb, and the Queen of Sheba’s Palace.  You can also visit the St. Mary of Zion church, where the Ark of the Covenant is kept.  Men only are allowed to enter the old church.  Unfortunately, no one (except one specially chosen guardian monk) is allowed to enter the chapel where the Ark is kept.  O/n Hotel

After breakfast, drive to the moon temple of Yeha, dating from the 8th to 5th centuries BC, and thought to be the capital of Ethiopia under the Damat state, which was before Axum.  Afterwards, head to the monastery of Debre Damo, where only men are allowed to visit by climbing 15mts rope. Then proceed to Mekele with a stop at the rock-hewn church of Chirkos.  O/n Hotel.

Early in the morning, embark on a full day driving to Lalibela. Pass through several small villages, with typical sandstone homesteads of the Tigray people, and then continue to Lalibella where you would enjoying the most spectacula.

In the morning, start to visit the rock-hewn churches of Lalibela and explore the Northwestern Cluster of the churches – Bet Medhane Alem, Bet Maryam, Bet Meskel, Bet Danaghel, Bet Mikael& Bet Golgotha (entry not permitted for women).  After lunch, continue with the Southeastern Cluster of churches – Bet Gabriel-Rufael, Bet Merkorios, Bet Amanual, and Bet Abba Libanos.  Finally, you will visit the most famous of all the churches – Bet Giyorgis, curved in the honor of the patron saint of Ethiopia.  O/n Hotel.

On the way visit the monastery of Hayk Stephens, where you can visit an old monastery with lots of ancient antiquities.  O/n Hotel

Driving to Addis Abeba via Debre Birhan for lunch. But before that visit sembete sun day market if available. Then pass by Mezezo Escarpment to view a beautiful landscape and the endemic gelada baboons. After dinner party, transfer to the airport and fly back home. end of our service.
